Distinguished architect Jeroni Granell I Manresa designed this jewel of Barcelona modern architecture. Since then, this property, named Villa Paula, has become one of the points on Barcelona's skyline.
After the delicate process of restoration, including the delicate interior décor and modernizing amenities, Villa Paula shows its visitors the splendor of the beginning of the 20th century.
Beyond the façade covered typical modernist artwork, you find four floors with restored hydraulic mosaic, and original French windows, wrought iron, and carpentry.
The bottom floor has a reception room with porch access, two sitting rooms, a dining room, a bright kitchen, a guest bathroom, and a veranda with original windows. All rooms are exterior and have direct access to both the terraces and the garden. This floor also has a service area and a pantry.
In the upper floors you find a master suite with a large, antique, fireplace and terrace access. The sleeping area is completed by five double bedrooms with bathrooms. The floors are connected by a staircase and an elevator.
Also it has a gym and a spa area (sauna, steam room, cold shower), a full bathroom, a suite double bedroom, a wine cellar and separate multiuse spaces. Additionally, there is a machine room, a garage, and a storage room. The house has a tower elevated two further levels above the rest of the house, offering a point from to distinguish the extraordinary views of Barcelona and the Mediterranean Sea.
The exterior is characterized by respect for native vegetation, especially hundred year old pines which are integrated into the design to enhance its beauty. The current entrance way is paved with textured concrete to look like red brick pavers so that it better blends in with the environment. The terraces are made of hard wood and the infinity pool is finished with green shades that live in complete harmony with the rustic environment of the mountain range and the majesty of the Mediterranean Sea. There is a complete summer kitchen to service the garden.
Indescribable, Villa Paula forms part of the architectural heritage of the city. It is impossible not to be enraptured by the Villa after you visit.
