Zone: Canet de Mar
40 km from Barcelona, towards the north coast of the Maresme, is Canet de Mar, a village with a seafaring tradition. The architect Lluís Domènec i Montaner located his house-workshop in this town, bequeathing to it an important artistic and architectural heritage linked to the purest modernism of the urbanistic explosion of the 18th century.
Its modernist buildings are home to the most important cultural offer in the town and in addition to housing restaurants, hotels and various tourist services, Canet de Mar is also known for the cultivation of delicious strawberries and excellent vineyards and carob trees.
At the top of the stream you can see the imposing medieval castle of Santa Florentina, gateway to the Park of El Montnegre and the Corridor. Below, in the sea, there are golden sand beaches where the sailing club is open all year round.
It will be very easy to get a fantastic house or plot with wonderful sea views in which to enjoy a day of sunshine that prevails throughout the year in El Maresme.
Canet de Mar is an excellent option for lovers of the sea, sailing, and Mediterranean cuisine. This town is ideal to be located halfway between Barcelona and the Costa Brava and enjoy how much the area has to offer during the summer and all year round.
