Zone: Gràcia
This district describes itself through its creativity, both that of the artists and bohemians and that of the rest of its multicultural inhabitants. A district that does not lose its village essence, which makes it very familiar, tending to take care of its traditions, but at the same time vibrant, boisterous and avant-garde. The heterogeneity of its inhabitants is very wide. It is very popular among exchange students, but the neighbors and families of all ages always predominate, along with the artists and bohemians who have made their workshops and craft stores proliferate.
It still preserves in the structure its origin of the Villa de Gràcia, of village streets anchored in the middle of a big city, as well as old farmhouses that still survive to the rural time of the most separated zones of the nucleus of the villa like Vallcarca, el Coll, La Salut, Camp d’en Grassot/ Gràcia Nova. Large buildings such as the fantastic Park Güell and La Casa Vicens, both by the brilliant Antoni Gaudí, the Modernist Casa Fuster by Domènech i Montaner, and the Creueta del Coll park and the many squares and small squares make up the most important points of the district.
The apartments that can be found in this area are structured within the old buildings of the Villa, predominantly small but charming apartments, not very high facades that are organized through the various open squares, as well as large houses, farmhouses and newer buildings as the distance from the core of the villa grows.
If you’re looking for a familiar but cheerful location with a lot of cultural life in its center or old single-family homes, you may find your home or investment among the neighborhoods in this district. A district that breathes culture and creativity.
